FASHION GROUP INTERNATIONAL PRESENTS

R-T-W COLLECTIONS FOR FALL/WINTER 2011/2012

Refreshments, Hors d’Oeuvres and the Trends from the World’s Designers

(Palm Springs, CA) - The Fashion Group International® of Palm Springs and Desert Communities, Inc. will present a DVD of the Fall/Winter 2011/2012 Ready-to-Wear collections direct from the designer’s runways in New York, London, Paris and Milan and scholarships to local students on Thursday, May 26, 6:00 to 8:00 p.m. at the Palm Springs Art Museum, 101 Museum Drive, Palm Springs. Libations and Nibbles Reception, 6 to 7 PM in the Elrod Sculpture Garden. Program, 7 to 8 PM in the Lecture Hall, Steve Chase Wing. Members, $15. Guests, $20.

See the newest trends from fashion’s most important designers as shown on their runways for the coming season. Produced by The Fashion Group International with renowned fashion editor Mary Lou Luther, for fall and winter we’re seeing the elegant lady take on an edge that is decidedly today, with the flair of yesterday.  Put away your childhood Crayolas, for a new paint box in an interesting paired-up palette!  Red says go---and does non-stop. Shapes are volumnized!  Fabrics are techno-news in plastic, Neoprene, latex, cellophane, dresses made of rubber that resemble sequins!  Accessories hold their own!  What trends are likely to make it from the catwalk to the sidewalk?  Come see.

FGI supports the Fashion Group Foundation who this evening will present $9500 in college scholarship awards to local Coachella Valley students pursuing an education in the industry. In 20 years, FGI has awarded over $190,000 to those who dream of becoming future fashion leaders.
